We provide comprehensive support, focusing not only on SATs preparation but also on year-round Maths and English work and assessments for Year 1 to Year 6. Delivered in small groups by experienced tutors and educators, each programme is conducted every Sunday and is meticulously aligned with national curriculum objectives.
English
We provide tailored, focused learning programmes delivered in small groups for children aged 6–11. These sessions address key aspects of the English curriculum, developing vital skills in an engaging and structured manner. Our classes are centered around high-quality texts designed to spark curiosity and enthusiasm, fostering a love of reading and writing while building essential skills and confidence.
Each week follows a structured sequence of tasks tailored to specific year groups and aligned with national curriculum objectives. Led by experienced educators and specialist tutors, the classes provide comprehensive coverage of English skills, including reading comprehension, grammar, punctuation, spelling, writing, and exam preparation.
Maths
Our maths programmes provide a dynamic and engaging environment where students strengthen their understanding and build confidence in key mathematical areas.
We focus on essential maths skills for each year group using a mastery-based approach. This includes working with concrete materials, visual representations, and targeted activities to ensure a deep, lasting understanding of mathematical concepts.
Each 60-minute session is structured into three key parts:

A quick-fire fluency task to reinforce core skills.

Structured teaching of a new concept.

Problem-solving, reasoning, and tackling complex multi-step challenges.
Weekly homework reinforces the learning, helping students consolidate their progress and excel in mathematics.

Engish and Maths
At Charla’s Tuition Academy, we provide comprehensive preparation for SATs by thoroughly covering all test paper topics and ensuring students are well-equipped for every question type they might encounter. Our structured lessons focus on mastering core skills in English and Maths, while extensive practice with past papers familiarizes students with the format and boosts their confidence. By working through these papers, students develop effective problem-solving strategies, time management skills, and a clear understanding of how to approach each section. This targeted approach ensures they feel prepared, capable, and ready to achieve their full potential on test day.
